Five of Pentacles
Today’s tarot card a day is the Five of Pentacles from the Tarot of Prague by BabaStudios.

Affirmation
The Affirmation I created for this card is “I choose to see the lesson in every situation.”
Impressions
A woman appearing to be in agony, or perhaps looking to God for help, while she holds a lifeless infant. She sits outside a church in the midst of a snowy storm. She has her back to the church which should be a place of hope and refuge from the storm.
Knowledge
The little white book describes this card as a struggle, a need to look for help, money worries, being worn out.
Experience
When things seem hopeless, reach out for help. It is there if you ask for it. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Sometimes life is too overwhelming but we can find refuge when we look or ask for it. Using this card in the context of my everyday life, helped me examine my own need to be the martyr at work. Often, one can take on more than is their responsibility because they want to be seen as the martyr that saves the situation, be it small or large. Today during work I made sure to hold people accountable for their work and not take it on myself. I tend to take on too much and be the ‘martyr’ but today I focused on my own mental stability. I did not take on other peoples work and focused just on my own alleviating a lot of stress.
Our tarot card a day messages are not always sunny and rosy. Some days, like today, it asks you to take an honest look at yourself.
